Cocaine dealer Eden Turkovic to be rearrested following parole breaches

A gym junkie cocaine dealer who supplied drugs to glamorous customers across Melbourne’s east has been dobbed in by his bikini-model ex-girlfriend.

A muscle-bound cocaine dealer who supplied “huge quantities” of drugs to glamorous customers in Melbourne’s eastern suburbs is expected to be rearrested and jailed in coming days.

Amateur bodybuilder Eden John Turkovic was released on parole in early 2024, after serving five years of an eight-year jail term.

On Tuesday, Magistrate Brett Sonnett issued a warrant for his arrest, after federal police formed the view he had breached his parole.

Turkovic, now 33, ran a mail-order business selling “seriously large quantities” of cocaine and steroids.

He and his co-offender gym mate Paul McMillan, now 38, purchased more than $90,000 worth of steroids from Ukraine and China in the second half of 2016, before repackaging the drugs and selling them to gym-goers.

They also sold kilograms of cocaine from units in Thiele St, Doncaster and Maxia St, Doncaster East.

The precise street value of the drugs they sold was never calculated, but is estimated to be well in excess of $1m.

The cocaine police seized from the duo’s unit they day they arrested them was worth $360,000 alone.

The men’s drug operation unravelled when Turkovic’s bikini-model ex-girlfriend, Raquel Petit, agreed to give evidence against the two men.

Turkovic celebrated his release on parole last year with an Instagram post captioned “time to start living”.

He was greeted at the prison gates by a group of friends in a luxury car.

Less than a month later, Turkovic was registered as a company director in Hypa International, a luxury wrist watch dealership which stocks Patek Phillippe and Richard Mille timepieces.

One of Turkovic’s younger brothers, Queensland property developer Elijah Filip Turkovic, has claimed online to be an investor in the watch dealership.

The Magistrates Court on Tuesday heard lawyers from the Commonwealth Attorney-General’s Department wrote to Turkovic this January saying they formed a reasonable belief he had breached his parole, and were considering revoking it.

Turkovic did not respond to the letter.

The precise details of Turkovic’s parole breach were detailed in a document handed to Magistrate Brett Sonnett, which he declined to release.

The arrest warrant took immediate effect as of Tuesday morning.

Once arrested, Turkovic will likely be returned to prison for the remaining three-years of his jail term, but could be allowed to reapply for parole before his sentence expires.
