Police are on the hunt for a driver who they believe deliberately nudged a bicycle with his car into an intersection while stopped at a red light in Blackburn North.
A 49-year-old Warrandyte North cyclist was stopped at the intersection of Surrey and Springfield roads when a man driving a black Holden Astra stopped behind him at 12.15pm on Monday, January 21.

Nunawading highway patrol Sergeant Simon Webb said police believe the driver deliberately drove his car forward to nudge the bike, sending it about a metre into the intersection.
Sgt Webb said the driver managed to remain on the bike and rode on when the lights turned green.
He said when the cyclist tried to take a photograph of the car to record its registration details but the driver swerved the car towards him.
“The male driver was seen to be laughing with friends,” Sgt Webb said.
The cyclist told police he had not had any previous interaction with the driver.
Police are calling for anyone who witnessed the incident or who might have dashcam footage to contact Crime Stoppers.
