A Templestowe woman is facing almost 40 charges of fraud after allegedly taking hundreds of thousands for a house and land package.

A Templestowe woman is accused of stealing almost $400,000 from a couple who thought they were buying a house and land package.

Angela Liberatore is facing almost 40 charges of dishonestly obtaining property by claiming to sell the home package to a couple, while taking almost $400,000 of their money, between March 2014 and December 2016.

Ms Liberatore also is alleged to have claimed to book an accommodation package at the Langham Hotel in Melbourne with $5000 belonging to the victims.

Banyule crime investigation unit pressed charges against Ms Liberatore for the alleged two-year fraud in December 2019.

Ms Liberatore will front the Melbourne Magistrates’ Court for a committal mention on September 6.
