Agents are trying to woo a major developer for what they think could be the “most significant” real estate offering in Box Hill this year.
Emmetts Real Estate and CBRE Melbourne are fielding inquiries about a Carrington Rd block which seems likely to be the site of the suburb’s next high rise.
The 1119sq m is just across the road from Box Hill Central and has potential for a mixed-use development.
The land has 23m frontage on both Carrington Rd and Cambridge St, in a location that offers significant passing vehicle and pedestrian traffic.
The commercial zoning provides opportunity for a range of high value development outcomes and uses including multi-level retail, residential, office, hotel or a mix of uses.
About 23 million visitors visit Box Hill every year, with 9000 new employment positions forecast by 2022 and permanent population growth forecast of 10,000 people by 2036.
