ABOUT 150kg of cannabis was seized from a house in a Whitehorse street early this morning.

Box Hill police raided a Blackburn North property about 8.40am, acting on a search warrant.

They discovered 28 cannabis plants, weighing about 150kg in total.

No one was at the house at the time.

BUDDING POT PLANTER ARRESTED AFTER CANNABIS RAIDS

The drug was allegedly being grown using stolen electricity.

A Box Hill police officer said he believed the crophouse had been discovered following a tip-off from the property’s electrical company.

No arrests have been made yet.
