Cannabis plants found in Oakleigh and Mordialloc

A BUDDING pot planter was arrested on Thursday after police unearthed more than 400 cannabis plants in homes in Melbourne’s south east.

The 48-year-old man was issued the ultimate buzz kill by detectives who raided homes in Mordialloc and Oakleigh on Thursday morning in a bid to weed out the dope den.

Detectives located 250 marijuana plants at an address on Barkly St and a further 200 plants at a second home in Mora Avenue.

A 48-year-old Springvale man was arrested and on Thursday night was being questioned by police.
