A Doreen man has been charged with drug trafficking after allegedly carrying $200,000 worth of marijuana on a country road.
The 64-year-old was arrested on Saturday, June 11, after police allegedly found 10kg of marijuana and $1300 in cash in a car on Koo Wee Rup-Longwarry Rd, Longwarry about 11.30am.
Baw Baw Highway Patrol officers seized the drugs and charged the man with trafficking as well as possession and dealing with proceeds of crime.
He was bailed to appear before Latrobe Valley Magistrates’ Court in August.
