Double passes to “Black Diggers” won by Leader readers

POWERFUL new play Black Diggers follows the story of indigenous soldiers who fought for Australia in WW1, and is showing at Arts Centre Melbourne for six performances only. Six Leader readers have won double passes to the Anzac Day show.

 
 

POWERFUL new play Black Diggers follows the untold story of indigenous soldiers who stepped up to fight for Australia on the battlefields of Europe in WW1.

Drawing from interviews with the families of these soldiers, as well as conversations with veterans, historians and academics, this production tells a story of honour and sacrifice, with a lightness of touch and an Aussie-larrikin attitude.

An all-star cast of male actors tells of the hundreds of dispossessed indigenous soldiers who heard the call to arms.

Each of the following Leader Facebook pages had a double pass valued at $130 for the 8pm performance on Saturday, April 25 to give away:

7. Winners will be selected at random via random.org after 12.00pm on Wednesday, April 22, 2015. No discussions with be entered into regarding the draw winners.

8. Winners will be contacted via Facebook. Winners have until 10am on Thursday, April 23, 2015 to respond. If there is no response within that time, a new draw will be undertaken.

9. Your name will be announced on our Facebook page. If you do not wish your name to be published, please do not enter.

10. Winners’ names will be provided to Arts Centre Melbourne for prize collection purposes.
