The son of an ex-detective is among three Melbourne men caught trafficking methamphetamine from a Greenvale Airbnb.

Callan Brilliant, 38, unemployed pleaded guilty to a string of charges when he appeared in the County Court on Tuesday, alongside 38-year-old crane operator Nathan Fenton and Thomas Cummins, 35.

Brilliant pleaded guilty to charges of trafficking in meth, possession of a prohibited weapon namely a body armour, dealing with proceeds of crime and refusing to provide police with passcodes to access tech devices.

Fenton and Cummins have also pleaded guilty to a charge of trafficking in meth and dealing with proceeds of crime.

The three men were living in an Airbnb in Greenvale when they were arrested in February.

On the day of their arrest, police also raided a storage facility and seized multiple items linked to proceeds of crime, including a Harley Davidson motorcycle, a Victoria Police issued ballistic vest and an Australian Border Force ID wallet.

Police also recovered $27,600 in cash and some counterfeit notes from the Airbnb.

Brilliant’s father, Peter Brilliant, is a former Victoria Police detective sergeant.

All three will be sentenced at a later date.
