A humble pizza shop with a Greek touch has won the hearts of its loyal community.

A beautiful family with a passion for top quality eats is the beating heart behind Monash and Dandenong’s best pizza shop.

George Ntotas moved to Melbourne from Greece 20 years ago, bringing his love for perfect pizzas on the journey.

He married partner Chris, a staffer at Oakleigh’s No Name restaurant who also shared his passion.

“Four years ago we saw (the Mulgrave Pizza House) shop come available and we thought let’s give it a go,” Ms Ntotas said.

“For a couple of years there it was tough, but things are going really well now.

“Our sons, cousins, in-laws all come in to help … it’s a traditional family shop.”

The Ntotas’ loyal customers have voted the shop in as the Leader’s top pizza shop in Monash and Dandenong.

Customer favourites include the Boss’ Special pizza, loaded with hot salami, tomato, fetta, olives, spring onion, cheese, fresh herbs and garlic olive oil.

“We don’t skimp out on any ingredients … it’s all quality over the crap,” Ms Ntotas said.

“We try and do more of a wood-fired, gourmet style meal but in a more traditional style.

“Everything is fresh … real bacon, real herbs.”

Ms Ntotas, from Endeavour Hills, said the family was grateful for its loyal customers.

“We’ve met a lot of really nice people along the way, everyone is very family orientated,” she said.

“There’s a mixture of Europeans and every type of person … people who are after the top quality in food.”
