Two Bendigo teens arrested after police car rammed during pursuit
A Bendigo teen “squealed like a pig” during his arrest, while another hid in a terrified family’s home amid a police chase through Bendigo after a cop car was allegedly rammed.

Two Bendigo teens have been charged after a police car was allegedly rammed, kicking off a pursuit that ended up with one of the accused offenders arrested inside a terrified family’s home.
On Thursday, a marked Bendigo police car was rammed on Market Garden Circuit, Epsom by a black BMW about 8pm while officers were investigating calls of a “suspicious vehicle.
It is alleged the black BMW reversed into a marked police vehicle that attended to investigate before fleeing the scene.
No one was injured during the incident.
On Friday, a police chase kicked off when police tried to intercept the black BMW in the Golden Square area about 9am.
Police Air Wing was called in as police pursued the accused hoons.
The black BMW was found dumped in an underground carpark near Mitchell Street, Bendigo about 9.30am.

Shortly afterwards Police were called to investigate two males allegedly from the black BMW loitering around the back of shops on High Street, Eaglehawk just after 10am.
Following a dramatic foot pursuit, both alleged offenders were arrested about 10.30am.
A witness said one of the teens ran into a woman’s house past her two little kids before trying to hide in her cupboard as he was chased by several officers.
The other teenager was arrested nearby in the carpark of Lake Neangar, with one witness saying he “squealed like a pig” as he was hauled off by police.
Investigators will also allege the BMW was used to perform burnouts in front of the Bendigo Law Courts at the intersection of Pall Mall and Mundy St on January 26.
An 18-year-old Long Gully man and an 18-year-old Kangaroo Flat man have been charged with dangerous driving while in pursuit by police, using an unregistered motor vehicle, driving while disqualified, displaying false number plates, committing offences while on bail, hooning offences and a slew of other traffic related offences.
They will appear at the Bendigo Magistrates’ Court at a later date.
Bendigo police members thanked the community for coming forward with information leading to the arrests.
“Police investigators were very well assisted in identifying the vehicle and the people responsible by information provided by members of the Bendigo community,” a spokesman said.
