Bendigo police hunt for hoon driver after ‘hectic’ police chase in stolen BMW
Police are hunting the hoon driver of a stolen BMW used in a major police chase through Bendigo.

Police are hunting the hoon driver of a stolen BMW after a chase through Bendigo’s suburbs before he dumped the car and fled through properties of terrified homeowners.
Officers on patrol spotted the black BMW being driven erratically on Ironbark St about 7.25pm on Tuesday.
Police signalled for the stolen car to stop, but it sped off along Cornish St, before turning right onto Anderson St.
Police followed the BMW along Weerona Ave and Barnard St, before the vehicle was located dumped on Ironbark Rd and Cornish St about 8.20pm and a 15-year-old girl was arrested.
Two males fled the scene by jumping over the fences and running through the properties of terrified residents.

One resident observed the incident had been “hectic” as police canvassed the area for CCTV footage about 9pm.
The Police Air Wing was called in and it circled the eastern Bendigo suburbs of Ironbark, Long Gully and California Gully for about an hour as police searched for the two men.
A 19-year-old man was arrested but the driver of the car was not found and police continue to search for him.
The 19-year-old and 15-year-old were interviewed and released pending further inquiries.
The investigation remains ongoing.
