A convicted sex toy snatcher has been busted bringing a bag of meth and a crack pipe into a courthouse.
Nikki Schembri, aged in her 40s, was convicted and sentenced to a good behaviour bond after she tried to get through Bendigo Magistrates’ Court security with 0.6g of meth and a pipe in her bag last year.
Schembri pleaded guilty on Thursday after accepting a sentence indication from Magistrate Sharon McRae.
The accused told the court it was “a real waste of my time” that she was charged.
She was also busted with two valium tablets she claimed she had a prescription for – but never showed any evidence of one.
She made headlines in 2009 when she was jailed for a shoplifting spree across Bendigo, making off with sex toys, children’s goods and clothes.
Schembri, who has a long history of drug abuse, said she had moved away from Bendigo and turned her life around since her days of pilfering sexual aids and hadn’t been in trouble with the law since 2017.
“Yeh, nah … I was clean for six years but I relapsed,” she said.
