A police spokesperson said officers from the Leongatha police station, Meeniyan police station and other emergency workers responded at the scene, where the man was injured by machinery while undertaking work on the South Gippsland farm.
“Farms can be one of the most dangerous workplaces around, so please take care when working on farms, as even the simplest of jobs can turn into something life threatening,” the spokesperson said.
“With a heap of silage still being done, and hay about to commence, please take care and be safe.”
