Two men and a woman have been arrested following an alleged assault with an iron bar in Moe, where a woman was left seriously injured.

Three people have been arrested following an alleged assault in the Latrobe Valley.

Emergency services were called to Phillip St in Moe at 2.45pm on Thursday, where two men and a woman were seen with an iron bar, approached a home on the street and allegedly attacked the residents inside.

A 31-year-old Moe woman sustained serious injuries and was taken to the Latrobe Regional Hospital for treatment.

A 26-year-old Moe man sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was also taken to hospital for observation.

“The trio fled the scene and were arrested on Phillip St a short time later without incident,” a police spokesperson said.

“A 44-year-old Moe man, a 49 year-old Moe man and a 43-year-old Moe woman are currently assisting police with their enquiries.”

It is understood the parties are known to each other.
