Teen’s lucky escape after car erupts into flames at Fish Creek
A teenager has miraculously escaped after his ute flipped in South Gippsland just moments before the vehicle erupted into flames, leaving it “unrecognisable”.

A teen is lucky to be alive after he freed himself from his flipped ute just moments before it burst into flames on a rural road in South Gippsland.
Emergency services were called to the scene on Savages Rd at Fish Creek about 12.30am Wednesday.
A CFA spokeswoman said crews arrived to find the ute fully ablaze.
“CFA had four units on scene, two from Fish Creek and two from Yanakie,” the spokeswoman said.
CFA crews worked to removed the wreckage from the site.
An Ambulance Victoria spokeswoman said the man was taken to Latrobe Regional Health in a stable condition with upper body injuries.
A towing company was called to remove the vehicle
The incident was declared under control at 1.03am and safe at 1.17am.

Social media users were relieved the driver was safe.
“Doesn’t look like there is much left of the vehicle extremely lucky for sure,” Warragul man Ethan Norbury wrote.
“Wow the ute is unrecognisable, glad the driver will be OK,” user Cheryl Wilson commented.
“Oh my goodness. That driver was incredibly lucky. Thank you for your good works and glad you didn’t have to see something a lot worse,” Jannine Mulford shared.
