Teenage boy dies in The Alfred after motorbike crash in Licola, Gippsland

A teenage boy has succumbed to his injuries and died in hospital after a motorbike crash in Gippsland.

A teen has died in hospital after suffering critical injuries in a motorbike crash in Victoria’s southeast.

Emergency services were called to the scene on Tamboritha Rd in Licola just before 8.30pm Monday, where the boy came off the bike.

He was flown to The Alfred in a critical condition with upper body injuries, but later died.

The crash has taken the state road toll to two, compared to one life lost on Victorian roads this time last year.

The exact circumstances surrounding the crash are yet to be determined and investigations remain ongoing.
