A Senior Constable from Victoria’s eastern region has been accused of false imprisonment and assaulting a man in Gippsland.
Beau Turner, 36, appeared via web link wearing a suit and tie at the Latrobe Valley Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday for a filing hearing.
Court documents allege Constable Turner unlawfully imprisoned a man, detained him against his will and assaulted him without lawful excuse while on-duty on Gwalia St in Traralgon on January 4, 2022.
Elliott Young appeared on behalf of police prosecutions and defence lawyer Peter Brown represented Constable Turner in the courtroom on Wednesday.
Magistrate Tim Walsh adjourned the case for a committal mention in February next year.
