A man has been charged after a Phillip Island pair were tragically killed in a car crash in Devon Meadows.
Emergency services were called to the South Gippsland Highway about 1.25pm on Friday September 17.
Police allege a car was performing a U-turn when it was involved in a crash with a vehicle travelling southbound.
A Cowes man and woman in their 80s, in the first car, died at the scene.
The driver of the second vehicle, a Cranbourne North man, was charged with two counts of culpable driving and one count of possessing a drug of dependence.
The 19-year-old man was remanded to appear at Melbourne Magistrates’ Court at a later date.
