A Moe delivery man stalked a woman he had delivered a package to and asked if she wanted to watch him perform a sex act.

Darren Wilhelm, 52, faced the Latrobe Valley Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday where he pleaded guilty to two counts of stalking another person.

The court heard Wilhelm delivered a parcel to the woman’s house, and after getting her contact details, called her on February 16, asking her how she was going and what she was up to.

He then made sexually inappropriate comments to the woman and suggested she go into “another room”.

The victim later saved Wilhelm’s number under “Creep, don’t answer”.

However Wilhelm then left a handwritten note at her home that said, “Hi my friend got an amazing head job from one of these houses”.

Wilhelm also said in the note he wasn’t sure whether he had the correct address and left his number, which was the same number the woman was called on.

Wilhelm was arrested, taken to the Moe police station on April 17 and made admissions to the offending.

In June, Wilhelm returned to the woman’s home, knocked on her door and asked her if she was looking for “a bit of fun”.

After the woman asked Wilhelm to leave, he asked “are you sure you don’t want to watch me wank?”.

On another occasion, Wilhelm put a handwritten letter in her mailbox that said he had “not had a lady in a long time” and wanted to see if she would watch him perform “sexual activity”.

The victim reported the behaviour to the police, told officers she suffered from anxiety and was scared to leave her home.

“I don’t know this male and I don’t know what he’s capable of,” she told police at the time.

Wilhelm’s defence lawyer said his client was engaging with a psychologist and had battled depression for 30 years.

His lawyer told the court Wilhelm’s actions led him to feel “shame” and “remorse”.

Prosecutor Bethany Hourigan said the offending was an invasion of the woman’s privacy.

Wilhelm was bailed and Magistrate Alanna Duffy adjourned the matter to November in order for a letter to be provided from Wilhelm’s psychologist and for the woman to give a victim impact statement.
