A man in his 50s has been injured and taken to hospital following a collision in the state’s east.

A man has been injured and taken to hospital following a collision in the state’s east.
Emergency services were called to the collision on the Princes Highway and Coonoc Rd — near the Quality Inn and Suites Motel — in Traralgon on Wednesday afternoon.
An Ambulance Victoria spokesperson said the man, believed to be in his 50s, was treated for a chest injury and taken to Latrobe Regional Hospital in a stable condition.
A man believed to be in his 80s and a woman believed to be in her 60s were also assessed but did not require emergency treatment or transport.
“One person was reported trapped and the FRV crew, supported by the CFA, worked to free them,” an FRV spokesperson said.
Two red vehicles involved sustained extensive damage and were towed from the scene.
