A Cranbourne hoon who did burn outs in his Ford Falcon in a power station car park also had a passenger cling from his roof while he was driving.
Tyson Ling, 24, faced the Latrobe Valley Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday where he pleaded guilty to a charge of driving in a manner dangerous.
The court heard Ling was driving with a mate when he pulled into the carpark of a Yallourn power station on June 3.
In a court document read out by the prosecutor, Ling lost traction of his vehicle, causing smoke to come from his tyres
Ling spun his car multiple times around the car park before his passenger dangerously climbed onto the roof.
The court heard Ling went to the Moe police station and confirmed it was him behind the wheel.
Magistrate Tim Walsh told Ling he was far from impressed with his antics.
“What you need to get through your head is a driver’s licence is a privilege,” Mr Walsh said.
“Learn from it — stupid, stupid, stupid is what happened here.
“If you killed your mate, you are going to live with that for the rest of your life.”
Mr Walsh fined Ling $900 without a conviction and his licence was disqualified for six months.
