A Koo Wee Rup mum threatened to bash her sister-in-law after she accused her of stealing cash.
Natalie Gray, 30, pleaded guilty at Korumburra Magistrates’ Court to one charge of unlawful assault.
The court heard Gray visited her brother at his home on August 18, 2020 to care for his partner who had cerebral palsy.
Gray then left the property and realised $200 was taken from the back of her phone case.
She returned to the house the next day and aggressively accused her brother and sister-in-law of stealing the money.
During the argument, Gray threatened to bash her sister-in-law which caused the woman to run to her neighbours house in fear.
While running, the woman slipped over on wet ground.
Lawyer Miceal Ambrose said the mother-of-one regretted her behaviour.
“Harsh words were spoken by her but she regrets the confrontation,” he said.
Mr Ambrose said the TK Maxx Cranbourne worker didn’t physically touch the victim.
Magistrate Guillaume Bailin said the assault was on the lower end of the spectrum.
Gray was placed on an adjourned undertaking for a period of two months without conviction.
