Inverloch on top trending destination list for holiday-makers
Even though it’s only a small town, holiday-makers are flocking to this Bass Coast area for more reasons than one. Find out which town is Victoria’s third most-searched destination.

The Bass Coast is renowned for it’s coastal beauty and now a town in the area has been named as a top trending destination in Victoria.
Booking.com has listed Inverloch as one of it’s top eight trending destinations in the state, alongside Metung, Yarrawonga, Anglesea, Ocean Grove, Swan Hill, Beechworth and Mansfield.
Whether it’s getting a bite to eat in the main street or discovering the 1863 Amazon shipwreck buried in the sand on the Surf Beach, Inverloch has a lot to offer.
Booking.com Area Manager Luke Wilson said that as restrictions are beginning to ease in Victoria, holiday maker’s are getting ready to rediscover travel in their own backyard.
“The Bass Coast region, specifically Inverloch was the third most searched trending destination in Victoria,” he said.
“Inverloch is an excellent choice for road trips once travel distances allow, offering rooms at any type of property – from holiday homes by the beach and small independent hotels to luxury escapes and apartments”.
Mr Wilson said fishing, golfing and hiking are the top three endorsed activities in the coastal town which highlights “there is something for everyone”.
Oakleigh resident Patrick Lucarelli said he and his friends were looking forward to visiting Inverloch after November 9.
“I’m currently looking for accommodation in the area over New Year but I don’t want to miss out,” he said.
“I think majority of Melburnians will want to escape the city for a sea change over summer and Inverloch is a great place to do that.”
Mr Lucarelli said he has visited the town before and was eager to the support the locals after a “chaotic” year.
“I’m sure a lot of businesses have been hit hard by the pandemic so I’m happy to spend and support the area”.
