Glengarry crash: Boy fighting for life, another person dead in horror smash
A week after a horror smash which took the life of a Glengarry man a six-year-old boy remains in hospital in a critical condition.

A man has died and a six-year-old boy is fighting for his life after a horror multi-vehicle crash in the Latrobe Valley.
Police have been told three cars carrying a total of seven people were involved in a collision at the intersection of Traralgon-Maffra and Farmers roads in Glengarry, 165km east of Melbourne, about 3.50pm Tuesday.
The driver of one of the vehicles, a 35-year-old Glengarry man, died at the scene while a six-year-old boy was flown to the Royal Children’s Hospital in a critical condition.
As of Monday afternoon, the boy remained in a critical condition.
The other driver, a 22-year-old man, was taken to Latrobe Regional Hospital with minor injuries.
He is assisting police with their inquiries.
The four occupants of the third vehicle were not injured.
Thirty-one people have lost their lives on Victoria’s roads this year, up 33 per cent on the same time in 2022.
Of those, 24 deaths have been on regional roads.
The exact cause of the crash is yet to be determined and detectives from the Major Collision Investigation Unit will attend the scene.
