An elderly man has succumbed to his injuries and died in hospital following a crash in South Gippsland.

An 80-year-old man has succumbed to his injuries and died in hospital following a crash in Victoria's southeast.
Emergency services were called to the scene at the intersection of Woranga School Rd and the South Gippsland Highway east of Yarram about 9am on April 23, where a Toyota HiLux towing a trailer collided with a Ford XT.
“The driver of the Toyota, a 25-year-old from Maffra, and his passenger, a 28-year-old man from Perry Bridge, were both uninjured,” a police spokesperson said.
Police are preparing a report for the coroner.
The crash has taken the state road toll to 95, compared to 104 lives lost this time last year.
