Woman injured after assault by group in Maryborough

A woman has been assaulted by a group of people in Maryborough on Friday afternoon.
It’s understood a 39-year-old woman was in a car when she was approached by four people known to her on Alma St just after 12.30pm.
Initial reports suggested the incident occurred near a kindergarten.
The woman sustained non-serious injuries and no emergency treatment or transport was required, Ambulance Victoria confirmed.
Police are investigating.
