Three officers have been left injured after alleged car thieves rammed them when they were cornered in a car wash in Ballarat.

Car thieves who allegedly rammed police cars after being cornered in a car wash left three officers injured.
The Western Region Crime Squad saw an allegedly stolen silver Ford Falcon drive into a car wash on Geelong Rd, Mount Clear about 9pm on Wednesday.
Police allege the Ford was stolen from Torquay in September 2023 and had false registration plates.
Two police cars blocked the Falcon in from the front and the behind in an attempt to stop those inside escaping.
The driver of the allegedly stolen car, a 20-year-old Wendouree man, then started ramming both police cars before jumping out and fleeing on foot.
The driver was arrested nearby, with police allegedly seizing a knife on his person and a homemade shotgun in the drivers side door.
Police arrested a 43-year-old Eureka man and a 35-year-old Eureka woman at the scene. They are assisting police with inquiries.
Three police members received minor injuries as a result of the collision.
The investigation remains ongoing.
