Police investigating ‘erratic’ prime mover that drove motorists off Glenelg Highway

Police are hunting for an “erratic” driver of a hauling truck whose actions pushed other motorists off a highway near the Grampians.

Double demerits in force in NSW and ACT

Drivers were run off a highway in the state’s west by an “erratic” hauling truck at the weekend.

Police are seeking information about a yellow prime mover towing two trailers on the Glenelg Highway between 1pm and 2pm on January 21.

“It’s understood the prime mover was travelling south-west on the Glenelg highway between Dunkeld and Hamilton when other motorists were run off the road,” Victoria Police said in a statement.

The vehicle had its trailers in a B-double configuration.

Police are appealing for drivers in the area at the time to come forward as it is not known whether other cars were damaged during the incident.

Police urged witnesses or anyone with dashcam footage to get in touch with Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or make a confidential report at www.crimestoppersvic.com.au
