Plans have been revealed for a $100,000 outdoor dining area behind one of Ballarat’s most popular bars.
A development application before the City of Ballarat depicts a proposed at the back of Hop Temple and Roy Hammonds at 24-28 Armstrong St in Ballarat Central, along the laneway leading to Lydiard St.
The whole area of the works would be nearly 150sq m, with the patronised portion made of salvaged bricks and steel beams and roofing.
Renders show a partially enclosed area with tables and chairs amid couches, wall-mounted televisions, pot plants, and a fireplace.
It is hoped the area would “complement the existing indoor restaurant”.
A pre-planning application was first issued for the proposal in May.
