A Ballarat woman who allegedly stabbed a man to death at her home has briefly faced court from custody.
Mount Helen woman Cheryl Lucas, 38, appeared at Ballarat Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday accused of murder.
Ms Lucas allegedly stabbed a 47-year-old man at a Park Lane home shortly before 8am on December 28, 2024.
At Ms Lucas’s first court hearing two days afterwards, it was heard the man was allegedly killed in circumstances of family violence.
Emergency services attended the home and performed CPR, but the man was declared dead at the scene.
Ms Lucas was arrested there, with Victoria Police announcing they had laid a murder charge later that afternoon following an interview.
On Tuesday, the case was adjourned so that the defence could receive outstanding material from the prosecution.
Ms Lucas will face court again on May 27.
