Two men have been arrested at a Ballarat motel and charged for a commercial theft spree they allegedly committed over nearly a fortnight across western Victoria.
Police arrested a 21-year-old Portland man and a 20-year-old man with no fixed address at a Ballarat motel on April 7, charging them with offences including theft of motor vehicles, burglary, theft, aggravated burglary, reckless conduct endangering serious injury, and drug possession.
It is alleged the men were involved in a series of commercial burglaries between March 26 and April 7 in Ballarat, Portland, Port Fairy, Koroit, Mortlake, and Terang.
They allegedly stole large amounts of cash, cigarettes, and vehicles during the spree.
Both were remanded in custody to appear at Ballarat Magistrates' Court on April 28.
