Man in 20s taken to Ballarat hospital after single vehicle crash on Daylesford Malmsbury Rd, Glenlyon

A man hospitalised overnight after his car smashed into a ditch needed firefighters to free him from the wreck.

A man was trapped in his car and needed to be extracted by firefighters after his vehicle left the road and hit a ditch near Daylesford overnight.

A man in his 20 was trapped inside his car following a single-vehicle crash on Daylesford – Malmsbury Rd, Glenlyon about 1.45am Friday.

Emergency services, including paramedics and the CFA, responded to the incident where they located a single male occupant.

The CFA deemed the incident under control about 3:30am and safe at 5:10am.

The man was transported to the Ballarat Hospital in a stable condition.

A tow truck was required for the vehicle and crews worked to remove it from the ditch.
