Emergency services set up in Brown Hill as Ballarat train hits person

Emergency services were called to a Brown Hill street after a person was hit by a train on the Ballarat line.

A person was hit and killed by a train in Ballarat on Tuesday.

Emergency services were called to Scott Pde in Brown Hill, adjacent to the railway line, at 7.35pm.

A social media post nearly an hour later showed a stopped train and said a nearby bridge had been closed off.

It’s understood train services were temporarily suspended following the incident.
