Creswick attack: Man arrested, two hospitalised after alleged assault near Ballarat
A man has been arrested following a fight between four men near Ballarat overnight, which saw two men allegedly assaulted and taken to hospital.

A man has been arrested and another remains on the run following an alleged assault which saw two other men hospitalised near Ballarat.
Police responded to an altercation between four men on Reed St in Creswick about 1.30am on Saturday.
Two locals, a 23-year-old man and a 46-year-old man, were allegedly assaulted in the incident.
An Ambulance Victoria spokeswoman said the duo were assessed by paramedics for upper body injuries, with the 23-year-old man also receiving treatment.
They were both taken to Ballarat Base Hospital in a stable condition.
Police attended a nearby home shortly after the incident and arrested a 31-year-old Creswick man.
The man has been charged with recklessly causing injury and criminal damage, and will face Ballarat Magistrates’ Court on January 23.
Police are continuing to investigate the alleged assault and are searching for a second attacker connected to the incident.
