A west Victorian mum, who has won more than $2m in the Tattslotto, plans to pay off her mortgage and buy her husband a new tractor.

The Ballarat winner of the weekend’s division one draw was given a ticket for Christmas by her son, and discovered her good fortune after reading the prize had gone unclaimed.

“I remembered that I was gifted a TattsLotto ticket from my son for Christmas, and I thought I’d give it a bell,” she said.

“I haven’t told my son yet because I wanted to confirm if it was true, and oh my god, it is! I wasn’t expecting this at all.

“... I’ll definitely pay off the house. That will be the first thing I’ll do.

“My husband wants a new tractor, so I’ll get that.”

The winning entry was purchased at Lucas Gifts & Lotto.

Shop manager Colleen Porter said there a great buzz in her store after selling its second division one winner in three years.

The winner’s husband can expect a shiny new tractor after the $2.14m win.

“We hope the winner spends it wisely and now will be able to do what they have always dreamed of.”
