Ballarat Clarendon College outperforms all in VCE results

A Ballarat school at the centre of multiple investigations has received the best results in VCE in 2022. Find out where your school sits.

It was a battle of the private schools for top VCE spot in Ballarat.

Ballarat Clarendon College came in on top with a median study score of 38, and 35.5 per cent of study scores were at 40 or above.

The school — which was recently the centre of multiple investigations into bullying within management — has consistently scored well in VCE results and was the top scorer across the state.

Ballarat Grammar and Loreto College both had median study scores of 31.

Almost 10 per cent of study scores at the grammar school were of 40 or higher.

Loreto College — which just months ago saw dozens of its students involved in a bus crash on their way to an overseas trip — had 7.9 per cent of study scores at 40 or above.

When it came to public schools in the Ballarat region, Ballarat High School and Woodmans Hill Secondary College both had median study scores of 29.

More than 11 per cent of study scores at Woodmans Hill Secondary College were 40 or above, while Ballarat High School sat at just 5.8 per cent.
