Australia Day 2024 events in every Victorian LGA

From sausage sizzles and lamingtons to yabby races and barefoot bowling, here are all the Australia Day events across Victoria’s local councils areas.

How divided are we on Australia Day? Depends on your age

Local councils across Victoria are approaching 2024’s Australia Day with various levels of involvement and promotion.

Many are no longer hosting their own events, instead supporting community groups in their celebrations.

Some don’t refer directly to the day, and several have Indigenous ceremonies running parallel to the usual barbecuing fare.

Regardless, here are all of the events publicised by local councils that have to do with Australia Day and take place on January 26, not including citizenship ceremonies.
