National treasures and beloved electronic music duo Peking Duk is touring the country after a four-year hiatus, with the first stop at Albury.
Kicking off at Albury, the ARIA award-winners will take their national headline tour across the country, stopping at regional cities they’ve never played before as well as capital cities.
Peking Duk’s Adam Hyde told the Herald Sun he was excited to perform in the country because “regional crowds are always the best”.
“People in regional towns value these moments quite a bit more because they’re quite starved of them,” he said.
“Any opportunity we get to reach out to those places and put on a party, we will do it every single time.”
Mr Hyde, who, along with his music partner Reuben Styles, grew up in Canberra said they both were always appreciative when artists came to play in their hometown.
“Canberra is by no means a small town, but it is quite an outcast in the grand scheme of Australia’s cities. So to be able to play in Albury or anywhere regional around this country - It’s special to us,” Mr Hyde said.
“We know how much it means to them and it means a lot to us.”
After rocking the regional city of Albury to their bonkers electronic music act, the music duo will hit Canberra, followed by Melbourne, Torquay, Warrnambool, Wollongong and Sydney.
Mr Hyde said it was “really special” to get back on the road and bring their music to people.
“To see so many people around Australia, rejoicing and dancing together, and knowing that we‘ve been able to provide soundtrack to those moments - that’s irreplaceable and I’ve been super appreciative of that,” he said.
