A Lavington tradie proved he wasn’t a cut above the rest when he smashed an Albury barber shop’s window during a drunken rampage.

A Lavington apprentice tradie smashed a barber’s window during a drunken rampage, a court has heard.

Harrison Doyle, 18, pleaded guilty to intentionally or recklessly destroying property at Lost N Found Barbers in Albury at Albury Local Court last month.

The court heard Doyle had been out drinking in Albury’s CBD on September 11 when he became upset about 12.20am and used his elbow to damage a glass panel on the barber’s door.

Security guards from a nearby bar saw it and took Doyle to the police.

Court documents state Doyle, an apprentice plumber,attempted to justifyhis reasoning which wasn’t detailed in court.

Police attended Lost N Found at 509 Kiewa Street and saw a large amount of cracks from a central point in the glass door.

Magistrate Richard Funston said Doyle was “young and foolish”.

“What a stupid thing to do,” he said.

Lost N Found have since moved to David Street, Albury.

Doyle was fined $350 without conviction.
