A Lavington man said he was going to “slit someone’s throat” and threatened to kill his dad after sculling a 700ml bottle of vodka.
Beau Sikorski pleaded guilty to a number of assault charges at Albury Local Court on Monday.
Court documents reveal Sikorski, who lived with his parents and siblings, was drinking with family friends on May 7 when he drank most of the vodka bottle.
Sikorski was drinking with his sister and when everyone left about 9.30pm Sikorski’s dad told him to go to bed but he refused.
“I’m not going inside, I want to kill somebody,” Sikorski said.
“I want to slit somebody’s throat.”
But the next time his dad told him to go inside, Sikorski did.
Court documents said he sat in his room and stared in the mirror saying: “I’m going to kill every c---. If the cops come here, I’m gonna kill ‘em.”
Sikorski’s dad tried to calm him down but it didn’t work: “I’ve had enough of this s---”.
Sikorski’s father said he was going to call the police.
“I’ll f------ kill you, I’ll f------ kill you, you f------ dog,” Sikorksi said.
By the time police arrived about 12.30am, Sikorski had a kitchen knife with a 20cm blade.
Sikorski’s family told police he had a knife but his dad was able to get it off him.
Police tried to arrest Sikorski but when he resisted police took him to the ground and restrained him.
Sikorski told police to fight him and threatened to harm others if he was placed in a prison cell.
Sikorski’s defence solicitor requested a six-week adjournment to get a sentencing assessment report for his client.
He will return to Albury Local Court on August 2.
