The finalists for a prestigious tourism award have been announced, with 17 Victorian towns nominated ahead of an awards night in July.
Iconic towns Arthurs Seat, Ballarat, Bendigo, Daylesford, Dookie, Echuca, Heathcote, Koondrook, Koroit, Maldon, Mildura, Shepparton, Sorrento, Timboon, Trawool, Warrnambool and Werribee have all been nominated.
Victorians are being encouraged to vote on what town they would love to visit.
Voters will also enter the draw to win “one luxurious weekend in Melbourne” for two.
The prize includes two nights’ accommodation at Sofitel Melbourne on Collins, $500 in restaurant vouchers and experiences at some of Melbourne’s best venues.
The winner will be announced on Thursday, July 25 at a gala ceremony, and the winner will have the opportunity to represent Victoria at the Australian Top Tourism Town Awards.
Voting is open from June 3 to June 24.
