How hero CFA crews survived fire twister

As a “fire twister” tore through a town Victoria’s northeast, CFA volunteers trying to save houses desperately ran for cover. The twister was so powerful, it lifted their 13.5 tonne truck onto two wheels.

Calls for parade to honour hero fireys

Fifth person dead as fire death toll mounts

Victoria’s bushfire death toll has increased again after a Forest Fire Management supervisor died in a car rollover near the Snowy River. It comes as firefighters continue to battle 17 out-of-control bushfires.

Man dies after being found on Chapel St

A witness has described paramedics’ desperate attempts to save a dying man after he was found on Chapel St. The man was left for dead on the popular party strip and later succumbed to his injuries.
