Melbourne sisters win gag order fight

Three sisters allegedly abused by Melbourne school principal Malka Leifer have been granted permission to identify themselves, and are the first to do so since new laws silencing sexual abuse victims was imposed in February.

Curfew ‘not off table’, hope for vaccine; 90 cases, 6 deaths

Victoria’s Chief Health Officer has flagged the possibility of ongoing curfew restrictions but believes a coronavirus vaccine is likely within 12 months. It comes after 90 cases were recorded, with six additional deaths; and a proposed extension of state of emergency provisions was passed.
