Zoe Creed crowned winner of Miss Universe Australia 2024: Meet the nation’s newest golden girl

Zoe Creed has been crowned this year’s Miss Universe Australia, the latest in the 23-year-old’s huge line-up of milestone achievements – and this is just the beginning.

Tahlia Jones, Zoe Creed and Tatum Oksanen will be fighting for the ultimate title of Miss Universe Australia 2024

A model, actor and women’s health advocate who rubbed shoulders with Tom Hanks and Austin Butler in the film Elvis, has been crowned the new face of Australia.

Zoe Creed, 23, will represent Australia in Mexico in November at the Miss Universe International final after winning the Miss Universe Australia title at Crown Perth on Thursday.

The Gold Coast-based stunner narrowly won the title ahead of Victorians Laetitia Greco and Renee Mourad.

Creed said she was proud to be part of Miss Universe Australia, saying it was far more than a beauty pageant — rather a platform for self development and opportunity.

“It is not just about beauty, it is about embracing who you are and it is about giving young women a platform to raise awareness on something that they want to,” she said.

“So if they are passionate about health they can do that, if they are passionate about education and teaching young children they can do that, it really is allowing you to go down any avenue which I like and the best thing about is you don’t feel like you are in competition.”

Creed started modelling aged 14. After suffering from anorexia she became passionate about women’s health and started her own fitness platform, created for women, called Born Creed.

“I fell in love with health and wellness, and especially women’s health, because I struggled a lot growing up,” she said.

“I fell into a dark path with anorexia and misunderstood which path to go down and I don’t want anyone else to have to do that.

“I would not change what happened to me, even though it was probably the darkest moment of my life. It was pivotal in making me who I am today.”

An aspiring actor, Creed appeared briefly in the film Elvis: “I got to meet Tom Hanks and Austin Butler”.

As the newest member of Australia’s royal family, Creed is ready to make the most of her reign.

“When it comes to Miss Universe Australia the possibilities are endless,” she said.

“It really does open doors and anything that comes my way I am going to take it and run with it and make the most of it.”
