Time On is your daily wrap-up of all the footy gossip and banter.

Former Essendon star Jobe Watson has popped the question to his partner Virginia Slaghekke.

The couple share three children, Juniper, Wolf and Lilou, with Slaghekke showing her sparkly engagement ring on social media.

She moved to Australia after the couple met at a cafe in New York in 2016.

Watson, the former Essendon club captain and son of Bombers legend Tim Watson, works in real estate and is a key part of Channel 7’s commentary team.

Slaghekke has studied a biomedical degree and also clinical psychology.

Meanwhile Tim said he was made to be a Tigers fan because of his old man.

“I was Richmond because my dad was Richmond, and he was passionate, mad Richmond,” Tim said on SEN.

“He loved Tommy Hafey and the Tigers.”

Tim said he’s lost a little family member to the Pies and there was no point trying to convince him otherwise.

“Hucksy, Carl’s little fella … he’s gone, I can’t bring him back,” he added.

“He’s barracking for Collingwood, I can’t drag him back.

“He’s gone, I’ve waved him goodbye.”

Montagna sooks about St Kilda’s club facilities

St Kilda champion Leigh Montagna’s Triple M co-stars turned on him during the week after he once again brought up his club’s poor facilities down at Seaford in the 2010s.

Speaking on the Midweek Rub, Damian Barrett and Dale Thomas ripped Joey to shreds for “sooking” about the Saints’ former home near Frankston.

“Have you stopped talking about Seaford, and how it was such a bad place to be, and how it destroyed the footy club, and how there were no coffee shops?,” Damian asked.

“I haven’t seen a group of players sook it up though as much as the Saints guys did.

“Geez you sooked it up though Joey, you personally, you and Nick.”

Montagna took the bait and rehashed the story every footy fan has heard at least six times.

“We tried to embrace it Damo, except the kitchen was right next to our meeting room, so we’d have our meeting at nine o’clock every day and the staff would be having their morning tea chit chatter, we’re trying to have our team meeting, couldn’t hear a thing.

“I learnt that the McDonald’s coffee was fine, because that was the best coffee shop around there.”

Momentum is growing to raise funds for Tony Jones’ food eating antics.

Jones says he’ll allow a compilation of his munching moments on the Grand Final Footy Show if it raises $10,000 for My Room.

Jones, who has been secretly filmed eating KFC, has expressed his frustration at the ribbing, banning more footage from being shown.

We hear there’s been offers so far of well over the $10K — the final show doubles as a Telethon for the My Room children’s cancer charity.
