Neighbours: Live like the Kennedys, Booking.com offers two nights in iconic Ramsay St home

As Neighbours hurtles towards its final farewell, fans have the chance to have a beer with Dr Karl and live in the iconic Ramsay St home.

For almost 40 years we’ve virtually lived next door to the Robinsons, Kennedys, Rebecchis and the other families who’ve come and gone from the fictional Ramsay Street.

But now fans can actually live in one of the most iconic homes in Australia.

Nestled in the quintessential Aussie cul-de-sac, 28 Ramsay Street, the fictional residence of Karl and Susan Kennedy will host just one lucky couple from July 27-28, to coincide with the Neighbours special 90-minute finale.

There’ll also be a backyard barbie and beers with Dr Karl – Alan Fletcher – himself.

“Number 28 Ramsay Street has been my fictional home for nearly 30 years,” Fletcher said.

“So many happy home memories have been made here that will live on forever.

“Handing over the keys to this humble abode will be bittersweet but I’m so pleased that new memories can now be made for lucky Neighbours fans, thanks to Booking.com.”

The beloved red brick home features a private master suite, a contemporary kitchen, two living spaces and outdoor entertaining area and will be available to book exclusively on Booking.com on a first-come, first-served basis.

Just one couple will have the chance to book the property on 11am AEST, Tuesday, July 12, for just $28.

Booking.com Australia area manager Melissa Ellison said the company was “delighted” to offer the experience.

“They say home is where the heart is and as Australia’s longest standing soap, Ramsay St has earned a very special place in the hearts of Aussies,” she said.

“We are delighted to bring this once-in-a-lifetime experience … to celebrate the Neighbour’s finale, and as a last hurrah with the one and only Alan Fletcher.”

Unfortunately, just like the opportunity Bluey fans had to live “for real life” like Bluey when Airbnb recreated the iconic Heeler home in all its cartoon glory in February, there are no plans to make it a permanent bookable Booking.com stay.
