MICHAEL Buble has opened up about his son Noah’s battle with cancer.

Noah was diagnosed with stomach cancer on Halloween 2016, just months after his third birthday.

The Canadian singer and his wife, Argentinian actor Luisana Lopilato immediately put their careers on hold. Not only has Noah recovered, they are expecting their first daughter later this month.

“I’ve been to hell,” Buble told the Herald Sun.

“I don’t talk about the whole story, not even to my friends because it hurts too much. It’s my boy. He’s a superhero, he doesn’t need to relive it over and again. But I’ve been to hell. And you know what, hell seems like a really nice place to vacation compared to where we’ve been.”

During Noah’s darkest moments Buble was ready to quit music forever; the couple also have two year old son Elias.

“I truly thought I’d never come back to music,” he said.

“Family is what matters. The health of my children is No.1.

“The relationship with my family, my wife, my faith — all of it is easily No.1.”

Earlier this year with Noah back to health Buble locked in some return concerts to test the water.

“It’s cancer so obviously we have to monitor it but I wouldn’t be doing this is he wasn’t OK,” Buble said.

He played an emotional first “comeback” show to 80,000 fans at Dublin’s Croke Park stadium on Saturday and will play Hyde Park in London on Friday.

Buble, 42, said his son’s cancer battle changed his entire outlook on life and his career.

“I live with a perspective that I just didn’t have before and it allows me to have no fear,” he said.

He has recorded a new album, due later this year, working with super producer David Foster for the first time since his iconic Christmas

album in 2011.

The album will feature standards and several original songs, one written about his sons.

“Perspective has allowed me to rekindle my love of music,” Buble said.

“When the last album (2016’s Nobody But Me) was coming out I just wasn’t enjoying myself as much. Through the fault of no one else, it was myself letting my own narcissism and the ego part of what we do get to me.

“I started to care too much about what people thought of me. Is my career on the upswing? I was truly worried. When I went through (Noah’s cancer) from the first moment there was a snap. I remember sitting in the hospital room thinking ‘I was worried about any of that s---? I was worried about record sales or a meme or what some a--hole said about me?

“In a second it had gotten so clear. That clarity gave me the opportunity to find love (for music) again. I’m going to go back to what I was made to do. I’m going to come back to a world that needs love and romance and laughter more than it has in a long time. I’m going to be a conduit to that. This is the greatest record I’ve ever made.”

Buble, who plans to tour Australia again next year, also thanked fans for their outpouring of love and support.

“I don’t think people grasp this but some days what got us out of bed was people praying for us or sending our family their love. When you go through hell you find out about yourself and also other people.”
