One of the biggest pop stars of the 90s has been spotted at Sydney Airport, her handsome Aussie boyfriend in tow.

Spice Girl Melanie C has been spotted at Sydney Airport with her handsome Aussie boyfriend Chris Dingwall in tow.

Sporty Spice herself is in Australia at the moment filming the next season of The Voice, where she’ll appear as one of the celeb coaches on the show alongside Ronan Keating, Richard Marx and Kate Miller-Heidke.

She and Dingwall were spotted at Sydney Airport on Saturday, hopping on a flight to Melbourne where the Spice Girl will make a guest DJ appearance at tonight’s Don Julio 1942 After Race Party at the venue Marmont.

Melanie C has been dating model Dingwall since at least the middle of last year.

The pair went public at Wimbledon in London last July, days after they were spotted walking hand-in-hand at the iconic Glastonbury festival.

Earlier last year, Mel’s extensive Australian DJ tour – her second visit to our shores within six months – appeared to double as an extended holiday for the couple, with stops at Brisbane’s lush Calile Hotel and the super-private Qualia resort in the Whitsundays.

And more than six months later, the couple’s relationship looks like it’s still going strong: Dingwall shared a selection of highlights from their time together to mark Mel’s 51st birthday in January.

“Happy Birthday @melaniecmusic (for yesterday)! Been a beautiful year. Looking forward to another amazing one with you,” he wrote on Instagram.

“Thank you my love,” was her response in the comment section.

Melanie C is undoubtedly the most private of the five Spice Girls when it comes to her love life, largely keeping her relationships out of the public eye since a string of romances with high-profile musicians in the late 90s and early noughties.

She has a teenage daughter from a longtime relationship with ex-partner Thomas Starr. The pair split in 2012 after a decade together.

After that, Melanie dated her manager, Joe Marshall, for seven years before they split in 2022.

In a statement released by Seven in January, Melanie C said she was “so incredibly excited” to be heading back to Australia to join The Voice.

“I have always cherished my trips down under over the years, so to be there with such a super line-up of coaches in one of my favourite countries is a real honour. Also very happy to be missing some of the British winter! Very much looking forward to unearthing some brilliant talent to join Team Melanie,” she said.

The TV gig comes as Melanie C recently released her first new music in several years, again with an Aussie connection: She provided the vocals on Australian DJ and dance music producer Anna Lunoe’s latest single, Girl.
