When a nasty rumour resurfaced about trucking magnate Lindsay Fox and a Christmas party on a 100-foot yacht his little black book came to his rescue.

But we felt for up-market trucker Lindsay Fox this week when an old newspaper clipping surfaced claiming he hosted a lavish Christmas party with Jeffrey Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell as guests on his “100-foot yacht” in Sydney back in 1995.
Thankfully, Fox has kept all of his black-leather, wallet-sized diaries over the years, detailing everything from friends’ birthdays, the people he has met, board meetings he has attended and events he has planned.
A quick glance back in 1995 and Fox was spending Christmas at the family’s long-held Hawaiian waterfront compound. A long way from any Sydney soiree with questionable characters.
And as one of Fox’s people told us, “the 100-ft yachts didn’t come until about a decade later”.
Fox has had an eventful 2020 after Page 13 reported earlier this year the medical emergency suffered by wife Paula.
The trucking tycoon was enjoying a 83rd virtual birthday party at their Portsea pile with the likes of Hugh Jackman, Daniel Andrews, Bill Kelty and Solomon Lew when a doctor mate dropped round for a tipple. Pre lockdown of course.
He had heard Paula Fox was complaining of shortness of breath and urged her to go to the Epworth Hospital for a check-up.
Emergency heart surgery ensued with Paula making a solid recovery ever since.
